About This Special Issue
The purpose of this special issue is to draw attention to the use of metal-organic framework (MOF) in the development of chemical sensors and biosensors for healthcare applications that are supported by nanotechnology techniques. When it comes to healthcare application, greater focus will be placed on human viral disease detection (e.g.SARS-CoV-2) and cancer diagnosis, emphasizing the importance of early and fast diagnosis.
The special issue aims to provide extensive information on the use of advanced MOFs-based materials for chemical sensors, standards of such devices, and market need in addition to the latest development in the field. This issue aims also to discuss the costs and toxicity of the materials and raise attention to their synthesis procedures, while taking green chemistry into account to ensure eco-friendly and cost effective production. We believe that a reference special issue of this type is essential to cover all aspects in the area of current trends in the use of MOFs-based materials in sensors production for healthcare applications.
